Its a great album, some of the best songs ever written! I was working in Norway at the time and ripped it to a music cassette (Yeah, that long ago). It turned out the the album was released in the U.S. before the UK and I became a very popular for awhile. One person begged and begged to buy my tape copy; I finally gave it to him. Just to shut him up. And not to rain on anybody's parade but there are several great musical groups that did great theme albums, some even before The Wall came out. The Moody Blues, The Beatles, Emerson, Lake, and Palmer, Elton John, and others; all did great theme albums that compare favorably with The Wall. The various artists were all talented musicians and turned in great work.
