this movie is very idealized, the foreign character knows judo and had to defend himself, he also knows how to play the piano, he's outgoing and is allowed to be gay without restrictions, on the other hand the other boy lives in a context whose social dynamics I cannot understand... he has a girlfriend and is treated as gay?? He has a girlfriend and he doesn't love her, he barely kisses her and doesn't show much interest... his classmates act as if they were part of a religion... and when everything explodes inside him the boy just lets himself go, destroying all his "friendships" and affections, it's strange... I think it's more idealization than anything else... but it is entertaining... it's not a very true story... although possibly its actors are gay... because of the very natural reactions they have and their body language, they act very spontaneously and they have a striking chemistry for their age... I suspect that at least one of them is gay.
