Very enjoyable series. The computer animation gave Batman's outfit a wonderful textured look. I thought the depth written into the butler character was a wonderful addition. Making Alfred an ex-military man makes sense to me given his traditional gravitas in every Batman reprise I've ever seen. Bruce Wayne's martial arts abilities, intellectual curiosities, and maturity seem more believable if he was raised primarily by an erudite, canny, world-hardened ex-military officer. The mystery of Alfred adds to the allure of Batman's mystery. I am saddened that there was only one season. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I enjoyed this movie so much that I was intrigued by what other people thought about it. I assumed that I missed the buzz it must have created. Imagine my shock when I discovered that it was not very popular. Matt Damon's Willy-Loman-esque character is very appealing. There are subtleties that resonated with me -- and I'm shocked that other 'middling- Americans' could not identify with the protagonist's angst: His professional goals not met; his insecurity about his weight, his taking care of his ill parent; his very finite resources, and his general boredom with life. And the rest of the cast was incredible! Matt Damo playing straight man to the rest of the stellar actors was so enjoyable. I absolutely love this movie. I've seen it THREE times. On each viewing, I discover something new. It reminds me of Jimmy Stewart in 'It's A Wonderful Life,' and I have no doubt in the years to come the sentiment we attach to THAT classic will be attributed to this movie as well. Time will tell.
