I love the Armand Gamache book series. I look forward to 'visiting' Three Pines and all of it's citizens each year. It's too bad the books weren't followed more closely. As an avid fan I found the town of Three Pines dreary, gloomy and very unwelcoming. Louise Penny's characters are well put together. The show's charactors were sloppy looking. Three Pines is supposed to be a place for peace and sanctuary but watching, I just wanted to get out. Alfred Molina was very good, but the other characters were miscast. Too bad I would have been a a regular viewer. Just once I would like to have seen her characters come to life.
