The only one actor who actually spoke real Telugu in the movie was Mohan Babu. A few others spoke too but it was flat like reading a text book. Most others seem to have transliterated their Telugu dialogues in English and tried to read them. Samantha, pretty as she is, should have asked for dubbing. A periodic, that too mythological movie must be made with the same ingredients we are familiar with-graceful body language, perfect dialogue delivery with obsessive attention towards diction and histrionics etc. This movie comes across an expensive stage show with pretty, handsome actors who were just picked up from an elite English medium institution. The screenplay was okay, Bgm was great. Camera work and Art seemed lackluster, so are the graphics.
Throughout the movie you will never see the scale and grandeur of settings because it is always in closeup. Some scenes look like they were shot in producer’s office room converted to a setting. That’s how small the landscapes were. Doesn’t live up the hype of grandeur.
Net net, I will wait for either a multipart or a tv show for this movie, where they can better experiment and tell the story with better script and much better graphics.
