Spoiler Alert***
After watching this movie, it probably shouldn't be a kids movie? Barnaby (an adult) put his hand on Lisa's (Drew Barrymore age 11) face in an abusive way, it's hurts to watch it without triggering my own trauma. But kids watching it would probably laugh or be like "how dare he, evil man." If the MPAA changes the rating you know it will be because of triggered millennials like myself.
The ending is so dumb, Lisa wakes up and her mom was like "oh my god, I'm glad you're ok" (she woke up on a couch at home)... like why didnt lil Drew Barrymore wake up in a hospital? <NeGlEcT>... even after knowing this kid fell out of a moving vehicle and hit her head on a tree, to the point of getting intense hallucinations which is the premise of the entire movie.
I give it 5 stars because when I was a kid I watched it like 50 times, and saw nothing wrong with it then.
Weird [19]80s movies, I swear.
