I thought Denzel was awful in this movie. The movie was so gimmicky. Rushed. Just so poorly made. The cgi sucked too.

Kerry Washington…once again with the over acting and same scary tired facial expressions she makes in every role. The movie was cartoonish for sure. Tyler Perry can’t do movies like this well at all. He lacks imagination and nuance. He needs to stay in his lane with the comedy stuff. Some of the girls need to take more acting lessons. I wanted to like it because I enjoy learning about history. But this movie is so badly made. And “Oscar nominee” is what it says on Netflix???? This is a joke, right?
