Sam Harris makes some reasonable and well back claims about secular spirituality, but his chapter on the illusion of the self is so ill-reasoned and contradictory that it ruined the whole book for me. If you are struggling with your identity after leaving religion I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BOOK, as it contains some harmful and WRONG ideas about self-hood and identity.
