The film started a bit slow for the first few minutes, but it gradually picked up momentum during Shivanna's entry. The dark comedy elements worked effectively from that point onward. While the first half had its strengths, there was room for improvement to make it even better. The performances of Ramyakarshnan, Ruthkvith, and Rajinikanth played a significant role in enhancing the movie.
Nelson's direction in this film is notably a step up compared to his previous work. The interval block was truly stunning, and the beginning of the second half was intense, with Rajinikanth's classic style complemented by Aniruth's impactful background music. The incorporation of dark comedies was well-executed, although there were moments when the film experienced slight pacing issues. However, the movie reached new heights with Mohanlal's entry, creating a literal high point. Some unnecessary gunshots could have been omitted to enhance the overall experience.
The climax was exceptionally impactful, as the combination of the formidable trio - Almighty Shivanna, Mohanlal, and Thalaiver - evoked intense goosebumps. The unexpected dramatic climax added another layer to the story. Considering all these elements, I would rate the movie 4 out of 5
Especially after a series of flops like "Darbar" and "Annaatthe," "Jailer" is poised to become a blockbuster treat.
