I was a huge fan of the Talos Principle. And 2 was great and a lot of fun, but just not as good unfortunately (imho)
I commend Croteam on another visual feast. And some good puzzles, no doubt. But I would note the following:
1 no bombs! Other than one level. Disappointing
2 none of the puzzles matched the scale and awe of the first game. The first game had some grand, majestic, thrilling puzzles, on a vast scale, with some breathtaking scenes. The puzzles in 2 all seem to be on a very small scale comparatively
3 the ending of the first game was nerve tingling, and the clever timed puzzle at the end exciting. It was noir and a thrill to play and watch. The ending of 2 is rather flat by comparison
4 the second game is just too smug in its philosophical musings. Not so interested in that I'm afraid, and it doesn't add anything i don't think
5 some of the star puzzles are reliant on extremely thorough observation, and if you don't find some things it can be very frustrating. It should be more mental than observational based.
Don't get me wrong, great game and i recommend, definitely. But for Talos 3 i hope they develop more of the awesome puzzles of 1, which just felt so much more exciting and engaging.
But enjoy people!!! And i really look forward to 3!!
