It was a musical, and not a good one. One or two songs were enough. For the rest of the movie, they were just filling time with common songs that didn't add to the story. I found myself thinking, "Another song? Please, nooooooo." People were certainly leaving mid-movie. I was tempted to do the same but stayed until the end, hoping for a big revelation or some punchline that never came. The "king of crime" - Joker - didn't even kill anyone else in this movie. He was portrayed as a hopeless romantic with some publicity surrounding him from the previous film. Removing the publicity and Harley Quinn, who was doing all the work to show interest in the Joker, we would be left with just about anyone else - a homeless person, a nobody, and killing Joker was just a metaphorical dot confirming that everything written above was correct. As such, the movie was essentially about a nobody and felt like a total waste of time. I don't usually write movie reviews, but I needed to get this off my chest.
