Regretted pressing play. Only pushed through because I was watching with friends. Who by the end all shared the same view. The jokes were painfully unfunny, the plot was so weak it felt like an extended bad SNL sketch, and by the halfway mark, I was questioning all my life choices that led me to this moment. Amy Schumer phones it in with recycled punchlines that weren’t even funny the first time around.
The movie couldn’t decide if it wanted to be a comedy, a drama, or a public service announcement about bad life decisions. Instead, it ended up being an hour and a half of cringe. If you’re on Netflix, do yourself a favour and rewatch a show or stare at the ‘Are you still watching?’ screen—it’s a better use of your time.
