Well story wasn’t bad and the writing was good. The look and feel were pretty much right on. It got a “3” for a couple of reasons. It didn’t need to be 3 hours. 2-1/2 hours would’ve been fine. The biggest problem is who they cast as Batman. While Robert Patterson is a decent actor, and has been getting better since his days as “sparkle vampire boy” I didn’t for one second buy him as Batman. I’m sorry, but at no time did I ever feel convinced that if I saw him in a dark alley would I be scared of him. Granted there have been others Batman’s that didn’t pull it off either but they weren’t trying to really encompass the dark side of Batman. He was, and I just couldn’t get there with him. All of his 6’1” 170lbs just didn’t cut it. Even with the bulky padded bat suit. The other part is that he played Batman like a moody teenager, that didn’t care about his family, or wealth. Ya, once again, I just couldn’t get there.
