I think Hari Kondabolu's documentary could of had more credibility if he would interview south Asian people who are not actors and/or people who did not have the same view he had. I think there are a lot of south asian who do not feel the same way Hari and the other actors had. He did interview his parents and the former surgeon general. Interestingly they did not seem to have the same issue that the people (all actors) who were interviewed. My impression is the issue that Hari and the other actors on the show is that Apu portrayal caused bullying. However he still wants the character to be on the show, which does not seem to dismisses what the documentary hopes to accomplish. I experienced racism and experienced people make the Apu voice but I am confident that those people would still be jerks if Apu did not existed. It is not worth the price I paid to watch this show.
