I like the concept of the clergy working with the police and becoming good friends.
What I can't understand is how can a man of God (Sidney) drink and have a relationship with a married woman?
And now after Sidney was replaced, the new assistant clergyman is a homosexual and how can he be a clergyman?
I am not judging, I am just asking questions I know others are asking too. They are scripting these characters as clergymen so don't they need to act as such? Being a servant of God is a calling, not for just anyone.
These activities may be acceptable under the law of men but not under God's laws. A man of God is to be held to a higher standard than that.
The writers make his assistant (Leonard) quite pitiful and some feel sorry for him but in his profession, I think more is expected from him.
I think this show is going downward. I enjoyed it at first when Sidney was on but now it is taking a different turn, a downward turn.
Just my opinion, my review which I will not argue over or discuss. As far as I know, we are all still entitled to our opinion.
