In typical Hollywood fashion, Clark's natural parents are exposed as some sort of villain.
And Clark's adoptive parents are made to be middle American simpletons.
This generation of CGI movie makers simply don't understand story, or characters, or human interaction, or emotion.
Like music, everything is forgettable background noise.
