Terrible book. Truly terrible. I love cozy Mystery, read oodles of books. This was amongst the worst. Total waste of time save for Rosie D’Antonio- she should have her own books and shows. I don’t understand how the book Could be a recommended by a writer on Instagram and how it scored 4.2 out of five. The only explanation I could give is that either expectations are really low or we’re talking about a public who does not distinguish between pulp and good writing. Perhaps the 4/5 vote was given by those who think Twilight and Fifty Shades of Gray were well written. I should have read critics’reviews.
This was subpar even as a beach read.
If you are the writer and happen to read this I am sorry to not be able to give encouragement. The story did not really make sense. But Rosie was real and Alive. She sparkled. Like a more plastic version of Maggie Smith. And Steve’s relationship with his late wife was so touching. I feel like I know and can see Steve - he was three dimensional. Amy not so much.
