I actually really like the way this show is beginning. I think people are forgetting that this show is from the perspective of someone that saw Tony Stark the same way everyone ELSE did. A rich man who made a suit and saved the world. Riri's perspective is one of someone who's trying to be the kind of "Ironman" that had to work for ever part she had. Tony was making Mark prototypes to pass the time as his anxiety hobby, and he surely DID have the money to do so. For Riri, every penny matters. I'm excited to see where all of these episodes go.
