I experience melancholy each time I watch. I finally know why. My childhood was wonderful and the annual trips to the circus was a main event for our young family. 1962 is as far back as I can recollect. It was magical for me. This movie transports me back to a time of fun and innocence. The circus was 200 percent excitement!! Plus my parents were so young with three small kids, and we were so happy. Yes, this movie sends me back to the most happiest time of an unjaded innocence.
