I went with my daughter and mom. My mom and I enjoyed it, but my daughter was too young and not entertained. This is not a "kids movie" Barbie, because simply put- they won't understand it. This is great for young adults- all the way up to seniors! I thought it was an interesting story line of how two worlds of real and imaginary interact with one another. The movie also equally presents Barbie and Ken, and while some may say it's women empowerment, on the latter it ends with an equality that's acceptable AND Ken really makes his mark. This also was an emotional film! Who would have thought?! There are moments that'll tear you up, but also moments of lightheartedness and laughter. Ok, so all of the Ken's were comical and I loved that. They gave light to the serious moments, and wait until you see the Ken dance off near the end- my favorite part! I don't really go in to movies desiring to rip it up play by play- this is a must see for all those who grew up loving Barbie, or who enjoy their kids loving Barbie. Barbie is more than you think :)
