The title should be changed to “What happens when idiots have access to magic”
(Review for Seasons 1-3)
The show has so much potential it’s so frustrating to see what they choose to do with it. I’ve been trying so hard to ignore the constant idiocies of the characters and focus solely on the storyline but it’s difficult to say the least. The scenery, the music, the way the camera captures the scenes, are all very well done. The whole story surrounding the keys, how you find them and what they do is golden… But then the main characters come in and fumble around this beautiful story like mini tornado’s sucking up any suspense or Intrigue. Don’t get me wrong it’s not the acting in the show that fumbles the story, “most” of the actors in the series do quite well at their job, it’s the scripts they’re forced to follow that screws them. It’s like the writer went to a first grade class and asked the kids to write the actions and reactions of the main characters and then put them into the final script. The series deserves to continue on and have many seasons, but only if the writer decides to wake up and allow his main characters to finally have more intelligence and common sense then that of a six year old child. There’s only so much cringe a viewer can handle before they start paying more attention to the notifications on their phone then the show they’re watching.
