Kantara stands out for its brilliant making, authentic atmosphere, and outstanding performances especially by Rishab Shetty, who completely owns his role. The visuals, music, and depiction of folklore are top notch, pulling you deep into the world of the story.
However, the climax, while visually grand and emotionally charged, feels a bit over the top. The sudden shift from realism to a supernatural heavy ending makes it feel exaggerated and slightly disconnected from the grounded tone that the film maintained earlier. It's powerful and impactful, but also a bit overwhelming, as if it tried too hard to leave a lasting impression.
Still, Kan tara remains a unique cinematic experience technically brilliant and culturally rich even if the climax goes a little beyond what was necessary.
