Such an interesting story and so well acted. Ewan McGregor was fabulous is this role. Delightful portrayal. I would have preferred Russian accents, rather than British to really get the feeling that you’re in Russia.

A very ignorant and stupid movie. A shameful promotion of antisemitic tropes. The writing is poor, the main character played by Jonah Hill is an idiot and the ending is ridiculous. Not at all the deep and interesting study of interracial relationships we had hoped for. It does not show any aspect of the beauty of Judaism nor of Black culture. Quite the opposite. Nor does it promote unity between people. I would give it 0 stars if I could.
