I ride horses and let me tell you something, if u ride correctly, and ARENT abusive to ur horse, its healthy for the animal, it exercises them, and also horses in captivity are fine, they get treated if they have any diseases or illnesses. As the writer talks in the book, spurs and whips are monstrous to her, well, if u ACTUALLY know how to use them and use them fairly, they aren't abusive. conclusion, author Ren Hurst needs to check some facts and also rethink her decision of apparently not seeking psychological help because hurting horses the way she did isn't normal, at the barn I ride, most people don't even *need* to use whips because of how well the horses AND RIDERS are trained, no one, and I say NO ONE, throws rocks at their (or anyone else's) horses. I'd suggest you to not waste 19 bucks on some insane person's book. <3
