It's definitely weaker then the first game in almost every aspect except gameplay imo. But thats also a very high bar to clear for any game considering the original is a masterpiece. My biggest complaints are all spoilers and all have to do with gameplay chunks that arent completely centered around Ellie and I also thought that the game set up an ending where neither choice would of been very satisfying. If your uncertain wait for it go on sale but it is an overall good experience.
