It’s a shame there’s some jankiness in the gameplay because I actually really like the dialogue writing and story. It’s immersive in a way that feels unique with the syndicate reputations and worlds. Like with any open world game these days there’s a lot of side quests that feel like chores, but then there’s a lot that surprise you with the blend of traversing interesting landscapes or meeting unexpected challenges. I like Nix and ND-5 and a lot of the characters. Also why is Sabacc legitimately fun!?
For me, the negatives are the bugs and hiccups (like getting stuck behind a rock or a segment of dialogue getting skipped or stealth rules switching up on you.) and also the space flight. I don’t know how to aim at anyone or hit anyone seemingly, and I just can’t seem to grasp the controls to not feel like I’m just careening around aimlessly. This may just be a me problem, and I appreciate they really want to give you a true Star Wars experience with the ship. Maybe that part I just suck at.
I definitely think people scoring it low are being ridiculously harsh. It took a minute to get into, but now I’m really enjoying it.
