I missed the pilot and watched just recently. I wasn't impressed at all. The previews made show seem like it was going to be very funny cuz of people's experiences at their DMV, relatable. I didn't find the show funny at all. Woman with the blonde hair was very annoying. Seem like it's trying to model off of The Office, Parks are Recreation and even Abbott - way it's film. I wasn't a fan of The Office or Parks and Recreation. I tried to watch those shows but it just didn't catch me. But I ama big fan of Abbott Elementary. The thing that makes Abbott so successful, show has a 1 theme or storyline and how individuals relate to that 1 theme. I didn't know what the theme of the pilot show was. It just kept jumping around and it seemed too choppy. And characters had no connection or weren't relatable. And to me, it seemed like their conversations had nothing to do with the people who come to DMV who have problems trying to get stuff done. But I'm going to watch 2nd episode. Sometimes 1st episode is setting up the characters. So I'll give the show a chance.
Actually, October 22nd episode of Abbott was about teachers at the DMV. And it was absolutely funny. So maybe writers/producers/creator of DMV should watch that episode of Abbott. Everything the Abbott people did in the DMV connected and so did the employees.
