Subpar compared to the first film.
The movie starts on a similar note to the first Borat film. However, the initial plan or plot seems to completely disintegrate as the film devolves into woke propaganda. In the original movie, Borat was well-known for his offensive jokes, which targeted nearly every group—minority or not. The 2006 film didn’t push any specific agenda; its primary goal was to make the audience laugh while lightly challenging America’s cultural beliefs.
Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, on the other hand, shifts away from these scattershot jokes. Instead, it feeds into the current woke narrative pushed by the media. Borat excessively mocks Republicans while promoting feminism and self-righteous liberal beliefs. Overall, it was a disappointment, especially given the high bar set by the first film. While there were some funny moments, I wish the producers had more of a spine when making this movie.
