The book is proof google straight up lies about ratings because its a horrible book where do I start…..so her sister is kidnapped and the kidnapper leaves a box with newspapers clippings & photo if sister for proof of life outside of apartment and Sophia (main) TOUCHES IT BAREHANDED CONTAMINATING IT then takes it to the stalker now cop and the cop aka Noah is unbothered by that also Sophia keeps thinking of her sister being alive even after the 24 hrs past. Now moving way ahead the roommate of the murdered girl was so weird she donated the girl’s clothes and didnt track down her family and just rented out the room!!! Now back to main characters, Sophia is the classic bratty girl who sniffles and throws fits and thinks shes right while of course Noah is the “ive changed my ways” and too chill and controlling also hes a textbook psychopath like what he did to her in college couldve killed her and when they do talk about it he is just sexualizing her while making her apologize for not being nicer whatever that mean’s because he didnt like being turned down like im gagging so badly his reasoning for blinding her car while she was driving and stalking her was “I was in love with you. When you didn’t return my feelings my pride got in the way. I was hurt & angry that you didnt love me back.” Page 106)) LIKE WHAT im so beyond confused like characters are supposed to be LOVEABLE oml and to top it off Noah is controlling and masking it as caring for her!!Told her to wait in car while he played hero and he isn’t bothered by people dying same with sophia she mourned the tenants like five seconds. This book feels like the very first draft no character development or likeable characters, would've been somewhat better if the characters were better but theyre not and page 106 & 107 made me throw the book in the trash while trying not to puke like WHAT noah definitely was inspired by ted bundy im speechless
