Yosemite, Sicko Mode and Stargazing are brilliantly produced songs with great rapping, but there's a lot of faults with the album. The title definitely doesn't describe it, it doesn't feel like you're in space at all and the other album tracks are just generic-sounding mumble rap songs that anyone can do...
It's so weird, rappers like Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert and YNW Melly make similar songs (lyrically and performance-wise), yet this album is praised as if it's something new and ground-breaking... it really isn't.
This probably comes across as petty as well, but I dislike it when artists don't credit their features, comes across as arrogant.
Travis Scott has genuine talent as an artist, made visible by songs like Goosebumps and Antidote, but I don't understand why he opts to perform mumble rap instead...
Travis says Astroworld is "the greatest album of all time" in his documentary on Netflix but it really isn't... He can definitely do much better...
