I liked a lot of things about this movie. The cast is absolutely amazing in each of their characters. A lot of moments are bittersweet and simplistic. The storyline mimics real life in both pleasant and unpleasant ways. While most of the characters navigate their lives and eventually find a happy ending, the only person whose life doesn't find a happy ending is the married woman.
Shilpa Shetty (the wife) doesn't leave Kay Kay Menon (the husband) when she finds out he's cheating on her. She meets a nice man, who wants to take care of her. Finally when the confrontation of the affair happens, she confesses that she 'almost' cheated and apologises, the husband leaves her for his girlfriend.
While her husband plays with the lives of his wife, girlfriend and employee and ultimately comes back to his wife when the girlfriend leaves him, the wife takes her husband back.
I felt unrest after this movie concluded and had a strong dislike for the plot. After some thought, it was very clear to me that this is not just the plot of the movie, but the sad reality of many married women across the country. Huge props to Anurag Basu for making it so raw and real. Ultimately, it resonated with me a lot.
