I read the book, which had so much more back story & so many more plot details (4 "diamonds" given to 4 different people!), that I was just stunned author Anthony Doerr would allow Netflix to make such an abbreviated version of his 544-pg book. AND change the ending! I had looked forward to the series for months but was just greatly disappointed.
