So disappointed, not even sure where to start. This could have been so amazing. I understand creating different cases outside of the books. That is great. However by completely changing who the characters are at their core and how their experiences molded them, feels hollow. Changing the race of established characters just "because" that will appease people on the internet is ridiculous. This character IS NOT WILL TRENT, not in any way except he's dyslexic and has a dog named Betty. This show is a disservice to Karin Slaughter's BRILLIANT writing and character development. Should have just created another show about some random detective. I would never recommend this show to anyone who likes a good detective series. American TV should take a hint from other countries who do a much better job. One case for an entire season where you get to know the actual main characters . Disappointed isn't a strong enough word.
