Loved it! I especially enjoyed all Jennifer Saunders scenes as Maester of Dubrovnik / Saester of Dubrovnik and Jeremy Irons’ narration at the beginning of each episode! What a breath of fresh comedic air and just what was needed: some good fun, reminiscent of History Bites and Space Balls. A goofy, mildly cringe-y, timely and very brave satire layered with innuendo and MM’s distinct brand of humor (though he does temper himself here which is a big improvement from Cat in The Hat and more than I can say of Ken Jeong’s performance). Overall, the cast do a good job, leaving us with some memorable scenes and one-liners, and as was previously mentioned by fellow, esteemed reviewers, it may not be well suited those who take offense easily or those who take comedies seriously (which apparently is a thing these days….). TLDR: Don’t mind the MM haters and nay-sayers. Watch and enjoy!
