Ok honest review.... If I'm going to review JUST the songs that were in the original I would give this movie a 5 star. Literally me and my daughter got goosebumps from how beautiful they made under the sea and kiss the girl. Halle Bailey as Ariel, AMAZING. Now, Poor unfortunate souls did what it needed to do but honestly, it was ok.... Def not as dark as the original Ursula. The new content would get a 1 star.... No one asked for Prince Eric to have his own song. It was soooooooo boring that my daughter asked if it was time to go home. It made no sense that they added in a song for Eric and skittle but took out daughters of triton and Le Poison. Finally.... I want to give another 2 stars for movie length.... 2 hours? Those two hours were just filled with dialogue. I don't need to know about Eric being adopted, or about how he loves to explore. I don't need to know about it being the coral moon ... Whatever that is. There was SO MUCH DIALOGUE 🤦 These kids in the theater were restless! Guys at Disney! Please for the love of God just because you can make a 2 , 3, 4 hour movie doesn't mean you should!
