I know some folks are haters of this show because of Joss Whedon, but I didn’t know it was his creation until AFTER I watched it and enjoyed the oddness of it. Victorian England, beautiful set design, detailed period costumes, mysterious powers, strong protagonist women, sci-fi, murder, insanity, steampunk gadgets, dark disfigurement, sexuality and war....and that’s just the first two episodes. I was shocked to find this wasn’t written as a book first. Fun change of pace.
