I could not make it past episode 4 or 5. The plot and story telling was terrible. The entire time I was trying to figure out what was happening and why such strong characters were suddenly super weak. I ended up looking it up on wikipedia and was like oh that's what's happening. The plot line on wikipedia seems super far fetched and convoluted. Also the fight scenes in the 5 episodes I saw looked like they were written by a 5 year old child. They were all great graphics and sound affects but zero substance. The bad guys would just walk up and beat everybody except Ichigo without any explanation as to who they were, why they were so powerful and why they were angry. The only explanations at all were coming from Ichigo as he figured out stuff and the main bad guy. To me the anime was the equivalent of the death star blowing up a planet without the producer/director taking the time to make the audience care that a planet was being blown up. This is not worth watching. The original anime was fantastic. This one is a giant pile of garbage. I also feel the story got butchered when being converted from the manga to the anime.
