If only I had words to describe this series... honestly Anu makes the audience a little frustrated with her silence but later on we find that the cause of her silence is the actual meaning society needs to take from this masterpiece. It is expected from women to tolerate to any heights and when it comes to saving their marriage, they are expected to sacrifice their own life and not make a sound because that's what a good wife does! that's what a good daughter is expected to do! To stay quiet and bear with it. In Anu's case she's manipulated so neatly that she herself isn't aware that she's a victim of physical, mental, and emotional abuse. The series raises thought-provoking questions about abuse, patriarchal dominance and the effects it has left on women and the most important question of them all, why isn't marital rape still not considered a crime in India?
