I can't honestly say I enjoyed this book. I kept thinking it would get better once we had all the history of his life but from the outset he was an unlikable person. I was hoping with all the mulling over and introversion while hiking through Germany that he might gain some perspective about past events and be able to move on. The ending lacked the punch that I was hoping for but that's just me as I prefer to know what happened rather than have it alluded to.
