Absolutely hopeless and utterly tragic ending. Throughout the movie they keep the feelings and hope of the audience alive that the son will meet the mother and in the end they show the mother dying without the son even knowing that she has died and the son carries her body on his shoulders and even gives her the final goodbye thinking that she doesn’t have a child. Don’t waste your energy only to feel hopeless in the end
