I lived it. I remember standing in my hallway at the phone cutout with a 45 pointed at the door after HE attempted to get in my house. My two babies were asleep in their beds I saw my door knob turning and heard someone pushing against my door. I went into my bedroom where I could see my front door. I saw a man there who I was later to know as Rader. I had fallen asleep on my couch. (I had a Day Care Ctr. In Park City and a few days earlier, at the day care ctr.,someone came to the door and called out my name.) When Rader was at my door, trying to get in, I called the sheriff's office and they sent out a patrol car and my husband was a vice detective and drove a unmarked car. So he heard the call go out and he came right away.
When I got to the door he was gone. I saw him running across in road in the field along the treeline. I understood later he was tracking me. I'm sorry he didn't get in because it would have been ended right there and no one else would have had to suffer.
