I read the book on wattpad and I fell in love with tessa and Hardin as frustrating as it was sometimes I really liked the books. I expected this movie to be rated R considering the book is basically R with all the sex and violence and curse words. As soon as I saw the PG 13 rating I knew it wasnt going to be the adaptation of the novel that I read instead I got a rushed and complete prude and tamed version of the books that I fell in love with. The actors did a good job in there roles hero was as great Hardin and jo was great as tessa but by trying to fit into a mold and basically sell out they lost the appeal of the books and the substance of what made it popular. If you made a book of a young adult learning to explore and experience her sexuality/sensuality and self especially her sexuality/sensuality why give conform to a pg 13 rating knowing that your wrote a rated R novel. I feel like the author and production company played it safe but ultimately the playing it safe might of been there biggest mistake. If they get a second movie I really do hope they understand that a rated R novel should have a rated R rating.
