Jill Rogers

I’m a long term fan and I was excited to see the latest book was finally out. I had completely forgotten what had happened on the previous book as the gap was so long. Anyway I opened it with interest but similar to G.R.R Martin (GOT) - DG comes across as an author who has no idea where her story is headed. There are way too many random characters who have no bearing on the plot, minutes take chapters to describe - time just moves too slowly - it’s poorly paced. I don’t know whether it’s to extend the money making or because DG can’t let Jamie and Clare go. The minutiae of life on the Ridge is getting very dull with little or no action to drive the reader along. Sorry DG but this is not one to be proud of - you need to end it and get to the point! Too much waffle. Disappointed!
