absolutely love it! i read OUTLANDER when it first came out in the early 90s. each time a new book would come out, i would read the series all over again. the last book leaves the reader hanging from a cliff, so another book(s) will be needed to solve some problems in the character's lives. since the author is involved in the production of the series, she probably hasn't had the time/opportunity to write on another book. she also has several smaller series on the characters lives and adventure when they are absent from the outlander series.
the action and the pace of the story is fast enough to feel like it's making progress but you still have the time to enjoy the beautiful descriptions or to imagine the historical settings or actually think about what life was really like in that time frame.
if i had to pick 1 author to read for the rest of my life, it would be diana gabaldon.
