Wasn't very impressed with this movie to be honest. Took ages to gain momentum at the beginning and there were times I genuinely zoned out and got quite bored of the weird whispery voices (which I could barely understand) and negative commentary. Everything seemed to revolve around Diana being this poor victim in the horrible stuck up family, which I don't doubt she was- but they failed to show enough of her fun side. It was heavily focused on her mental health battles and there were some pretty distressing scenes- her cutting herself with a wire cutter was pretty shocking and not really sure how genuine that was. I couldn't work out sometimes which parts were her dreaming and which parts were reality- the constant visits from Anne boleyn were ridiculous. Couldn't figure out at the end if creepy equerry planted the book in her room or why the lesbian maid felt so sleazy and untrustworthy - a lot of unanswered questions and not really worth the watch. The only aspect of it I did enjoy was the beautiful dresses and the insight into how things run in Sandringham at Christmas time.
