Joker: Folie à Deux was a huge letdown!! The only thing I liked was how they exhibited the flawed and corrupt jail system. Phoenix's acting was superb, but his acting kept getting interrupted by the musical overkill! The plot was overly negative, and as soon as you try to follow, it gets interrupted by disjointed, unnecessary musical numbers. The movie fell far away from the fantasy of the comics. I wouldn’t have minded a few musical numbers if they were meaningful and well-integrated, but most musical scenes were terrible! I thought Lady Gaga would be the perfect Harley, but she proved this wrong. It was awful; it was noticeable that the movie was set up to show her off as a singer, she lost her dignity as an actress. It ruined the movie! I think if Harley had blown out the courtroom to save the Joker, it would have made Gaga shine a little better as Harley and kept anticipation for a Joker return. I don’t know… I mean, drama is okay, but you go to the movies to have a good time and not to come out in a bad mood! It felt all over the place and uncomfortable. I feel sorry for Joaquin Phoenix; it was a waste of his talent!
