It's these types of movies that revitalize the idea of caste system, a idea that they themselves want to stay because it's earning them money, what I never understood is why in the hell do they never show a guy from upper caste and girl from lower caste? Because they know that it won't fit the propaganda that they wanna spread, because if it had been a poor upper class guy, they had to show how accepting his family is and how unaccpepting the rich lower class girl family is, because irrespective of caste a girl's family always want a good and stable household so that the girl never gets any problem, this movie doing good in Tamil cinema tells a lot about the state and their ideology (high literacy rate my foot), hence we come to the reason why this movie was not released in other parts of country because they know that this movie would get massive uproar from people and protests would erupt against it, so in conclusion this whole idea of showing low caste guy/girl as a victim is not going to work anymore except in Dravidian ideology influenced states because every hindu outside those states knows that every hindu is one irrespective of caste and we have stand together against everyone against our Dharma.
