Do Koreans have a bleak philosophy of life? The producers/writers of at least 70% of the series I have watched seem to have that view. "Black Knight" typifies that observation. I enjoyed the acting and the story until the final episode. Although the villains were dealt with, the portrayal of the main characters was anticlimactic as it dribbled to a close.

This plot was well written and directed. My complaint is that it was unfinished. Yes, it is open for a series 2, but the unresolved issues spoiled what could have been a great series. True, the main unresolved issue was hinted at, but it could have been far more satisfying. I felt cheated. The lead actors are also favourites of mine, and they did not disappoint. The supporting cast - in the main - were also top notch. Do I recommend this movie? Reservedly, yes. Would I watch it again? Probably not.

I have watched this drama twice and would happily watch it again. Essentially a romance unfolding in a business setting with a well conceived story line. Humorous in parts, not violent, but still compelling. There seemed to be no "padding" in this drama like there has been in other dramas we have watched.

A gripping and enjoyable drama to watch. We had to be firmly disciplined to limit our viewing to 2 episodes per day. The hero and heroine were played by superb actors. In fact the entire cast were superb. There was humour, suspense, and excellent action scenes. This was a drama I would enjoy watching again.

A gripping tale of political intrigue and corruption. It is fast moving yet tender in places. A magnificent cast. By the final episode, all "loose ends" are resolved. A very satisfying drama to watch.

Superb actors wasted in a poorly directed film. Snail like. Long silences. Oft repeated scenes that were supposed to recall memories. The film unfortunately became tedious to watch. It was if it had to be drastically padded so that it could be 16 one hour episodes. I understand that it was a character study, but in my opinion, it could have been a good film if directed more efficiently.
