Nice attempt... however this is no saving private Ryan or Band of Brothers.. detail is great but action scenes are way to rushed... first episode.. typical .. airman gets sick.. landing gear won't come down... everything is rushed and made to look like video game... details of Flying Fortress great.. but made for Tick Tock generation .. Directors are so scared of holding audiences attention span .. that they rush scenes... plot lines.. air battle scenes... respect for HBO in passing on this wannabee series. Has all the ingredients of something good but editor should be fired or go back to working on CSI shows..Director should go have lunch with Spielberg and get so more pointers on how to make a war movie that truly honors the greatest generation.
