Awesome game, great story, enjoy the mix of game play styles. Definitely doesn't feel linear. Thanks for a much improved AAA title experience.

The fight scenes are more dynamic with elements of the matrix thrown in. Not the typical fight scene in star wars but interesting enough. The conclusion of fight scenes seems illogical. A master killed with a throwing knife. 3 Jedi defeated by a dust cloud.
The dialogue and story feel very contrived. Maybe the target audience is pre teens and teens. As I reflect on it it felt more like a power rangers episode then something from the Star Wars universe. Campy and meant for some other audience than someone who is looking for something a bit more meaningful. And maybe it’s my fault for being an adult now. There are times I struggle with watching the original Star Wars (there is a remake that is long over due with todays production capabilities) because it has some campy scenes compared to what is expected today.
I don’t blame the actors because I feel like they weren’t given a decent script or direction enough to succeed. Take the suicide in episode 2. There is no justification for suicide in that episode. None. Even after the explanation in episode 3 there is no reason for it other than it was the only white male jedi so far and therefore he must be sacrificed on the altar of this show’s self admitted desire to push away from patriarchy. From a story perspective it made zero sense. “Hi I’m the girl that lit her whole family on fire because my sister wanted to become a Jedi. I think you should drink this poison because you were there when my sister made the decision”. I mean in what world does anyone even remotely emotionally balanced make that decision. Apparently in this one. I think they were trying to paint a picture that the Jedi may have been too strict with their thoughts on how the force should and could be used. But that nuance got trampled by bad story telling and dialogue. It was replaced with a nonsensical temper tantrum that went from I love my sister to I will kill everyone and everything including my sister inside of a day…. It could have been an interesting story that could have been woven into why balance needed to be restored. But instead it was just ham handed story telling with no natural bridge. Maybe the bridge exists but the problem so far through episode 3 is it’s just falling off a cliff at the end of every episode with me as a viewer asking why? Maybe I’m supposed to watch it like a train wreck and because it’s a train wreck enjoy it for that aspect alone. I can’t tell. And I also can’t tell how all these critics gave it a positive review.
